Black Sheep Meats was founded in 2022 by Matthew Medos, who had a passion for providing a high-quality farm to table experience to their community. Situated from his shop on his property in Ponoka, Alberta, he has grown into a successful business serving the central Alberta area.
Matthew medos
Having over 20 years experience within the meat cutting business, including 17 years sausage making and smokehouse management, Matt couldn't wait to one day open up his own shop. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Matt moved to Vancouver Island, BC where he was able to build upon his sausage and smokehouse skills. With a passion to have his own business and serve a community, Matt decided on settling in Central Alberta where he established Black Sheep Meats.
